Chromato-Vue Viewing Cabinets

Chromato-Vue Viewing Cabinets from UVP provide a darkroom environment for viewing materials. The comfortable soft rubber viewport utilizes a contrast control viewing filter. This filter protects the eyes from harmful shortwave radiation and blocks the "blue haze" associated with longwave UV. Viewport has adequate space for eyeglasses. A lightweight access curtain allows for easy entry and blocks out external light.  Models are available with 115V or 230V lamps, or without UV source.

A variety of cabinets are available to choose from including mini cabinets for viewing minerals and education uses to larger cabinets for chromatography applications. Styles to select from:

C-10E4 for use with the 4 watt EL Series Lamps. Same design as the C-10P, but configured to hold the 4 watt lamps.

C-10E6 for use with the 6 watt EL Series Lamps. Same design as the C-10P, but configured to hold the 6 watt lamps.

Mid-size Cabinet

  The C-65 Cabinet includes an internal white light.  UV light sources are not included.  Order EL Series 8 watt UV lamps for use with this cabinet. The C-65 accommodates one lamp or two lamps.

  • The C-65 Chromato-Vue Cabinet is designed to accommodate one or two of the EL Series 8-watt lamps (ordered separately)
  • Use of two lamps illuminates the cabinet's interior from two sides of the cabinet
  • Lamps are removable from the cabinet for use in other applications
  • Lamps come with a universal plug which connects directly to the C-65 Cabinet, plus a supplementary power cord to plug into a line current for operating the lamp in other applications
  • The C-65 includes an interior overhead white light
  • The bottom panel of the cabinet is removable
  • Soft rubber viewport and contrast control filter that absorbs UV energy to protect the eyes
  • Lightweight access curtain blocks external light
