PRE-OWNED STEREO MICROSCOPES

If you have priced new or used microscopes, you are aware of the prices of quality instruments from well known manufacturers such as Nikon, Olympus, Bausch & Lomb, Leica, Wild and others.  Quite often we acquire pre-owned stereo microscopes suitable for studying minerals as well as for other scientific uses.  We purchase only high quality instruments that are in good to excellent condition, recondition them, and pass the savings on to you.  We will not offer cheap or inferior Russian or Chinese instruments, for which service and parts may not be available. We feel that a new or pre-owned quality microscope is a better investment. Click here to see how we grade our pre-owned and refurbished microscopes.  Compare our prices with any microscope dealer!
When you purchase a new or pre-owned microscope from MRC, you are guaranteed satisfaction from a company that operated an optical instruments store for 8 years, has 25 years of optical instrument experience, and is qualified to assess the quality and condition of such instruments.  In short, when you purchase from us you must be 100% satisfied, or you may return the instrument within 10 days of receipt.

Dear customers,

As you can see from the listings below, our pre-owned inventory is being depleted as fast as we can add to it.  We currently have a backlog of microscopes in our service facility and will list them here as soon as they are qualified.  Many of our scopes sell before they make it onto this site.  So, if you don't see what you are looking for, check this listing later or email me directly for an update on what will be featured soon.

We try to keep our new line of View Solutions stereo microscopes in stock, but occasionally have lead times out to two weeks, due to large industrial sales.

Thanks for your interest,
Gene Cisneros

View Solutions SZ30 Stereo Microscope  (New)

The new optical design adopted in the VSI SZ30 Stereo Zoom Microscope facilitates excellent field flatness, good contrast and high definition images in the wide field, especially at the periphery of the field of view. The combination of compact design, long working distance and high quality optics makes the SZ30 ideal for use in professional applications, such as semi-conductor, precision component inspection and research.  The VSI SZ30 has a continuous magnification range of 6.7X to 45X and features excellent optics.  Included are a pair of high eye point, wide angle eyepieces, and a new ball bearing rack stand with tension adjustment.  The tightness of the ball bearing rack and pinion stand is adjustable by counter rotating the focus adjustment knobs.  The par focal optical system is coupled with a pair of diopter adjustments, and is adjustable for both eyes, assuring that no refocusing throughout the entire zoom magnification range is required.  These separate diopter adjustments have a range of +5 to -5, allowing a person requiring correction within this range to use the microscope comfortably without glasses.

Brochantite Crystal Group 30X

Torbernite Crystals 63X
The pictures above are of this particular instrument, with the exception of the last showing the EM Series camera.

The images, to the left, were taken with this instrument and an EM130M Digital Microscope Camera and reduced for quick loading.  Both images are multi-focus images processed with CombineZ5 freeware.

* EM Series cameras fit the photo port directly, however they are not completely par-focal.  When the scope is focused for the eyepieces, re-focusing +/- 1/4 turn of the focus knobs may be necessary to achieve camera focus.  This is because the camera does not fit deep enough into the photo-port.  Not a big deal, but in the interest of disclosure, I try to be thorough.
