Elongated, pure white Tremolite fibers in radial to
fan-like sprays in white rock matrix. Specimens are priced according to the
size, as well as to the richness of the white Tremolite sprays.
This locality produces examples of one of the asbestiform minerals that occasionally form euhedral, prismatic crystals. On this specimen, pale smoky gray-white rhombohedral cleavages of Calcite are attached to a large, dark greenish-black, non-terminated Actinolite crystal prism. The Actinolite is 3 1/8” long X 1 1/8” wide X 1/2” thick . The Calcite is not fluorescent.
